At age 16, he was spending time in Islamorada on the deck as a mate between his schooling. He attended Cape Fear Community College and achieved a degree in Marine Technology and holds a 100 ton Master Captain’s License. Riley’s experiences have given him opportunities to run and be a part of many Charter boats and a Freelance Captain. Riley was also the winning angler in the 62nd annual Big Rock blue marlin tournament, he then went into the private boat world where he competed professionally as a mate in billfish tournaments up and down the east coast.
